Brett's Survivor Lesson #1: Don't make an alliance before the first challenge. Seriously. Just don't.
For whatever reason, a lot of people think you need to form alliances on Day 1 if you want to make it to the end of the game. But I don't understand that idea. Honestly, most alliances that start off like that don't work out. Just look at Season 2... Bobby Jon's attempt to create a pre-game alliance quickly turned into an epic fail when 2 of his 4 allies were eliminated in the first challenge (by the way, rofl - that was funny). And then Ian was brought on as a replacement, and was eventually removed from the game due to being inactive. That's the problem with forming alliances early. You don't know people well enough to know who is going to play the game, and who is going to disappear 5 minutes later.
Anyway, it looks like the Andes Tribe might be making this mistake. Originally people were talking about a Female Alliance, and now they are considering a Loser Alliance (with everyone who didn't make the jury). Don't get me wrong... It's not bad to form alliances; it's just bad to form alliances when you don't even care about how active/inactive the people are.

Brett's Survivor Lesson #27: It's probably not the greatest idea to tell everyone your BFF is on the other tribe. Just sayin'.
Seriously, this one's just common sense, so I didn't think it even needed to be said... *looks at Fabio* but apparently it does.
So, Boston Rob posts on the Advertising Board, asking everyone to vote for his friend Shannon to help him win a challenge in another game. That's fine. Nothing wrong with that...
But then Fabio goes and posts the same thing on his tribe board, only he reveals that he's Shannon... aka Rob's BFF. *headdesk*
Did he really just do that? lol. Remember how paranoid Bobby Jon was when he thought Rodger and Burton knew each other before the game? Yeah... And that was just a "feeling." In this case, Fabio just outted his friendship with Boston Rob to his whole tribe. If I was on his tribe, I'd be voting his ass out as soon as possible. Not just because he has a friend on the other tribe, but because anyone who's dumb enough to out their best friend like that is someone you don't want to keep around.
But, at least Fabio chose a good castaway to play as. Just like the real Fabio, it seems like he fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down.

rofl, Fabio. I just don't understand him, or his thought process... or lack thereof. Fabio just had a chance to defend why his tribe should keep him in the game, and it went right over his head... All he had to say was something like, "3 of us were supposed to work on Part 3, but I was the only one who did anything... My tribe should totally keep me over the other 2"
But instead, he basically told his tribe he sucked at the challenge and should probably be voted out... That's true, he did suck at the challenge. But at Tribal Council, you usually try to put a spin on it to convince people you're at least trying. And, you know, not give them another reason to vote you out.
Oh, and props to John... He seems to be the only one who caught on to Rob/Fabio's alliance, and he's just as confused as I am about how dumb Fabio is.

I love reading John's confessionals... I think it's because if you miss what he says the first time, it's okay because he repeats it another 3 times in the same post sentence:
And mad props to him for using the word badder in a sentence. I tried to get away with that shit in Kindergarten, and the damn teacher told me it wasn't a word. I should go back to her with John's confessional as proof.
p.s. Please make him an All Star... or just name this episode "Hers was badder". But I think he definitely needs to be an All Star.

lol - I actually thought it was a pretty clever move on Boston Rob's part... His plan backfired, but it might have worked if it wasn't for the fact that everyone in the game had an identical Hidden Idol with identical rules.
But if someone had pulled that move at a Tribal Council last season, it probably would have worked on me. I don't think I'd risk voting for someone that might have played a legitimate Hidden Idol.

Yea i think a few of the people knew that there were 16 idols in this game... especially anyone who had talked to a member of Atacama.
It is safe to say that he probably wouldn't of gotten many if any votes at tribal council if he hadn't done that.

This is why I hate pre-game alliances... Inevitably, there's always one person that just rolls over and doesn't even try to win. They just give up and let the other one take it. That's probably the most frustrating thing when you're a jury member, and one of the Final 2 isn't even trying.
Carolina definitely should not be an All Star.
